🚀 Grateful to have joined the IDEA START Venture & Innovation Community event on Thursday at the University of Manitoba!
This vibrant meetup brought together a diverse mix of talent—academic innovators, idea-stage entrepreneurs, established founders, professors, and key players from the U of M incubation ecosystem, including North Forge, Lab2Market, and PKMI.
As a consultant specializing in service design, operations, and monetization strategies, I found rich conversations around:
✔️ Academic research being translated into commercial offerings
✔️ Agtech, mobile app services, and publishing startups exploring growth
✔️ The challenges of turning innovation into scalable, fundable ventures
💡 I see tremendous opportunity to help these teams build sustainable business models—from pricing and service packaging to scalable operations and stakeholder engagement.
Kudos to the organizers for the insightful expert talk on fundraising for idea-stage startups and the “Founder Game” that brought energy and creativity to the room!
Looking forward to deeper collaboration with the U of M incubation community to empower Manitoba’s next wave of founders.
📩 If you're building a venture and thinking about how to monetize, scale, or structure your operation—I’m happy to connect.
